Established in 2022, and affiliated to Tripura (Central) University, Sri Aurobindo General Degree College (English Medium), Agartala is the maiden effort of the State Government to establish an English Medium College in government initiative at Kunjanban – a place blessed with the footsteps of Tagore. The college is declared as one of the "Model college" of Tripura under the programme of Rastriya Uchhatar Shiksha Abhiyaan (RUSA)

As the first Principal of this College, I feel honored and privileged to be a part of a lively educational institution of higher learning where every stakeholder is a learner and every day is an opportunity to learn and discover. We believe in upholding high standard with an absolute commitment to strive to understand and improve the educational process, using team strategies, while wholly centering on students achievements.

To achieve our goal we believe in two diverse strategies that are of Love and Logic. While love helps nurture, trusting relationships where students feel respected, appreciated and loved by teachers , logic helps to developed in students personal responsibility, self control, good decision making skills, self confidence and character building with high moral values.
